Please note that this is a hybrid role based in Toronto, ON and will require you to work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

The Global Supplier technology team is responsible for building the scalable platforms for the supplier ecosystem in Wayfair. It starts with establishment of supplier entities, their catalog journey, advertisement, pricing & order management. This platform provides all necessary accelerants for supplier business growth like supplier ads, business insights & recommendations. We build scalable platforms to meet the demands of customers and suppliers alike.

We are looking for advanced analytical, action-oriented, and collaborative individuals that can translate business problems to actionable insights and data driven solutions to influence operational results. Successful individuals in this role excel at both qualitative and quantitative analysis while also being eager to communicate upward and outward to tell a concise story.  

What You'll Do:

  • Own and develop the strategic analytic agenda to unlock insights and guide the business.
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners and ensure that there is strong alignment between Wayfair’s business objectives and our Data Science driven strategies.
  • Bring your expertise in A/B testing to identify, design, execute, and analyze tests leveraging Bayesian or frequentist methodologies to make high-impact changes to the customer site and app experiences.
  • Develop key metrics and reporting to measure how initiatives are improving Wayfair’s performance and enabling our team to easily identify trends, root causes and develop targeted action plans.
  • Leverage your modeling skills and apply data science techniques to solve ambiguous problems.
  • Build prototypes and dashboards to translate large data sets into driving insights and action

You Are A Match Because You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 3+ years work experience in quantitative analytics, testing and/or predictive modeling
  • Professional experience in writing code in structured programming languages (Python, R), writing scripts using GBQ or SQL, creating Pivot Tables and Vlookups in Google Sheets or Excel, and using data visualization tools such as Data Studio, Looker, Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Experience in leveraging A/B testing and other experimentation methodologies for effective product launch measurement.
  • Experience applying data science techniques such as classification, regression, and clustering; and partnering with business teams on agile model development.
  • Demonstrated success in communicating with and influencing senior level stakeholders on strategic direction based on recommendations backed by in-depth analysis.
