Position Overview

With our strong international growth, Tencent Cloud International is now on the lookout for visionary undergraduates or graduate students who are ready to dive into the dynamic world of digital video, collaborate with industry leaders, and drive the evolution of video-on-demand services. As a Product Management Intern for Tencent Cloud's Video-On-Demand (VOD) platform, you'll play a pivotal role in defining the strategy, features, and user experience of our video-on-demand services. Working closely with our seasoned product managers and cross-functional teams, you'll gain invaluable insights into product development, market analysis, and customer engagement. This internship is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the fast-paced world of digital entertainment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in overseas market VOD product requirement analysis, feature planning, and other related tasks, gaining an in-depth understanding of product development and market demands through internships or project experience.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and user preferences for global video and audio market, and assist in planning the product development direction for the future.
  • Conduct in-depth industrial research on the targeted markets and industries while collaborating with sales teams from different verticals to implement scenario-based solutions for cloud video products suited for the respective industry.
  • Gather and analyse product performance metrics and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist product managers in preparing training materials, product documentation, presentations, and marketing materials for launched products. Carry out promotion and operations, and address basic product inquiries from overseas users.

Requirements:

  • Final-year undergraduates / graduate students majoring in technology, management, economics, computer science, or its equivalents with a vision to pursue his/her product management career path in public cloud industry. Relevant product management certifications would be advantageous
  • Able to commit at least 6-month full-time/ 3-day part-time internship
  • Possess basic understanding of media technology and learning capabilities, particularly interested in media processing, media AI, and willing to delve into related technologies..
  • Possess strong logical thinking and capable of articulating viewpoints clearly and effectively. Strong language command in both English and Chinese Mandarin in order to communicate with China-headquarters based stakeholders and perform translation on product materials.
  • Strong business acumen with great sense of end users’ pain points and the ability considering product issues from the perspectives of users and the market.
  • Prior experience in B2B product management internship is preferred with a strong passion in B2B business and appreciating good user experience.
  • Excellent teamwork with the ability to learn independently and withstand work pressure.
