Position Summary:
The Dual-modality Radiology Technologist delivers high quality CT and X-Ray exams to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Independently performs CT and X-Ray procedures, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. This role supports outpatient and inpatient settings with a variable schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required
- Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent, and documented competencies in Radiology and CT
- Montana Licensure (Radiologic Technologist)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) advanced certification in CT
- American Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hire
- Two (2) years of previous radiology experience
Preferred
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in health care related studies
Essential Job Functions:
In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
- Performs quality CT and X-Ray/fluoroscopic exams and procedures as requested by medical staff.
- Operates with limited supervision, while maintaining high attention to detail, customer needs, and high reliability.
- Assists medical staff in other departments during exams and procedures as necessary and appropriate.
- Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
- Completes documentation, in designated area, of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
- Retrieves written orders and related health information to ensure the timely performance and reporting of exams and procedures.

Physical Requirements
- Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling: Support 50 pounds of weight (patient, assist with bedside needs, etc.) Lift 50 pounds (pick up a child, transfer a patient, etc.) Carry equipment/supplies. Use upper body strength (CPR, physically restrain patient, etc.)
- Extended Hours: The role may involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily.
- Flexible Schedule: The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
- On-Call Availability: On-call work may be required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly.
- Effective Communication: Proficient in effective communication, both in person and through various technologies.
- Handling Challenging Situations: The role may involve dealing with upset individuals, requiring the ability to de-escalate situations and work effectively with frustrated patients or families.
- Repetitive Tasks: Ability to perform repetitive tasks as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
