We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Category Fleet Specialist to join our team. In this role you will support global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a global category manager or independently if under defined threshold. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet management, excellent negotiation skills and a strategic mindset to drive cost savings and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the development and executes the implementation of global sourcing strategies in close alignment with the global category manager and business stakeholders.
  • Leverage the purchasing power of Hitachi Energy on a global base for Fleet spend to achieve the set performance targets.
  • Support global sourcing initiatives for the global Fleet category, working closely with key stakeholders to implement regional category strategies.
  • Runs benchmark studies for the category team and for specifics sourcing initiatives.
  • Negotiate agreements with main suppliers and service providers to secure advantageous terms and periodically renews price list.
  • Performs RFIs/RFQs, e-Auctions for various countries and evaluates supplier bids.
  • Runs regional/local sourcing initiatives under a defined threshold.
  • Creates local contract amendments for frame agreements on behalf of a country and updates/maintains frame contracts.
  • Manages the cooperation with a portfolio of approved suppliers and oversees their performance.
  • On-boards new suppliers in close collaboration with the respective local stakeholders and provide supplier reports to business and category manager.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor and tracks supplier performance to set price and service levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and prepare adequate supply.
  • Fosters communication internally, externally, and between different Divisions, Business Lines and Functions and support the implementation of SCM activities and initiatives in the Region/Country through this clear communication.

Qualification & Skills:

  • Bachelor’ s degree in Supply Chain/Business Administration/Finance or related field or appropriate work experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in a Supply Chain Role or equivalent, ideally around fleet management and strategic sourcing of Indirect Materials & Services in a company
  • Strong knowledge / use of MS office tools including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint etc.
  • English language level C1
  • International experience in a corporate environment strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation and influential skills in an intercultural multi-business environment and be able to negotiate terms and conditions as well as prices that align with business objectives.
  • Organized, self-disciplined and timely in handling request associated with the job, bringing efficiency and speed to the process. Strong execution skills.
  • Pro-actively participates as a team member in achieving team goals.
  • Adapts easily to new situations and enjoys handling of new challenges.
  • Knowledge of SAP ARIBA system would be an asset.
