About the Role

In this dynamic position, you'll play a key role in driving new initiatives for our KYC and identity verification solutions from concept to execution. At Fourthline we implement cloud-agnostic SaaS solutions, and your mission will be to drive automation, foster innovation and deliver solutions that resonate with our client’s needs by advancing our proprietary, market-leading technological capabilities. Your leadership will ensure that your engineering teams—comprising a range of engineers from Engineer I to Staff+ level—excel in a collaborative environment.

 

What you'll do:

• Build, mentor and retain a high-performing, cross-functional (ML, BE & QA) engineering team. Think recruitment, 1-1’s, and enabling your team to excel by nurturing an environment of growth, innovation and productivity.
• Manage all phases of the development lifecycle from design to post deployment and take accountability for timely and efficient delivery execution of robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
• Actively engage with tech leads to drive our MLE practices forward and encourage best practices for scoping, building, validating, deploying, and monitoring ML /AI products in a large-scale SaaS environment.
• Work with ML/AI, backend and platform engineers to design solution architecture and develop scalable ML systems to accelerate the learning cycle.
• Within the product group, act as a key point for system design, architecture by leading and facilitating technical topics with an understanding of our enterprise architecture and vision.
• Champion the balance between research and productionizing solutions by testing concepts and iterating rapidly.
• Take responsibility for Engineering KPI’s and OKR’s and monitor and deliver results on topics that move Fourthline forward.
• Contribute, along with other EMs, to the continuous improvement of our engineering practices, tooling and culture.
• Encourage active collaboration between engineers, PMs and other EMs to ensure a cohesive working culture and fully aligned solutions.
• Hold your team - and yourself - to high professional and engineering standards while meeting key OKRs.

 

What you'll have:

• 3+ years of experience in managing 10-15+ (in-)direct reports.
• Proven experience in AI/ML (ideally Computer Vision), demonstrating a clear understanding of both its potential and its practical business applications.
• Adept at managing and growing technical teams, with a history of successful project delivery in a product development environment.
• Experience in designing and implementing internal platforms that support the development and scalability of large-scale, cloud-agnostic SaaS applications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
• Practical knowledge of agile development methodologies and an informed, pragmatic approach to project management.
