Summary:
In this role, you will work with 340B stakeholders in support of 340B Prime Vendor Program (PVP) purchasing optimization and enhancing covered entity savings. You will serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of drug class evaluation, PVP contract utilization, and analysis of purchasing data to help drive value for PVP participants and inform internal strategies to enhance PVP contract offerings. You will build and foster relationships with key PVP participant sites in developing additional PVP savings opportunities to covered entities through contracting as well as highlighting national best practices.
Responsibilities:
Provide field-based customer support for 340B participants to identify targets of savings opportunity through the prime vendor contracts and other purchasing analyses and to support practices to promote 340B compliance.
Work with pharmacy leaders to identify, discuss, and facilitate cost savings purchasing opportunities, resulting in cost reduction for drugs.
Support HRSA and Apexus leadership team with operational knowledge on special projects regarding pharmacy policy and practice.
Maintain a high level of subject matter expertise and customer satisfaction with health system pharmacy leaders and effectively communicate successes, opportunities, and challenges with formulary decision making and contracting strategies to Apexus’ leadership, participant advisory councils, and other stakeholders.
Leverage deep understanding of billing practices, payer influences, benefit design, and systems involved within both pharmacy and medical claims processing to effectively consult and collaborate with pharmacy teams and strategic Supply/Distribution partners to improve contract price management and product availability.
Act as a resource to internal teams in the areas of policies and regulations impacting the role that payers, PBMs, and others have on 340B program stakeholders.
Qualifications:
PharmD degree including active Board of Pharmacy registration required.
7 or more years of related pharmacy experience required.
Completed a pharmacy residency preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Word, Excel) is required.
Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $223,200.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
