You’ll deliver the commercial strategy for US Private Funds by identifying client needs and matching them with authorised NatWest Markets products and tailored client solutions
You’ll shape the client agenda through senior judgement, relationship influence and trusted‑advisor engagement that elevates NatWest to first‑call status with key clients
Amplify your impact on a cross‑bank stage as you strengthen our franchise, accelerate client growth and define how Funds FX wins in the US
What you’ll do
You’ll help deliver on the commercial strategy for US Private Funds by strengthening NatWest’s position with fund managers, deepening cross‑bank connectivity and building relationships that elevate the organisation’s status. You’ll also drive disciplined client growth by increasing FX penetration through data‑driven insights and expanding wallet share via seniorisation, derivatisation and disciplined sales intensity.
You’ll also help secure harmonised and robust governance by supporting the Global Head of Private Funds with decision‑making, oversight and adherence to evolving regulatory expectations. Your leadership will extend across the platform as you identify workflow automation opportunities, remove bottlenecks and share best practice to unlock growth capacity across US and global teams.
You’ll also focus on:
Building and maintaining a strong external network across fund managers and advisors to reinforce NatWest’s position as a trusted partner
Representing the Funds FX business at internal and external forums to strengthen visibility and influence
Applying disciplined coverage and risk oversight by monitoring exposures, stress‑testing portfolios and overseeing sector capacity in partnership with Credit, CMU and Private Financing
Coaching, supervising and supporting the performance, culture and conduct of colleagues, while contributing to capability growth across global teams
Promoting collaboration and mobility across geographies and empowering colleagues through ownership of client coverage and growth projects
Driving a consistent, client‑focused approach across strategy, engagement, communications and delivery
Making sure product delivery meets rigorous conduct, control and governance standards
The skills you'll need
Our bank creates value through coordinated, insight‑led client coverage, and we count on FX sales leaders who can connect teams and drive growth. As our Currencies Sales Director, you’ll bring five to ten years of experience covering sponsor clients, with the Series 7 and 63 certifications required to advise on and execute authorised NatWest Markets products. You’ll pair this experience with strong commercial judgment, the credibility to influence senior fund managers, and the technical depth to structure, execute and oversee complex FX solutions.
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
Deep proficiency in FX markets
Expertise in structured hedging solutions
A strong understanding of fund financing
Ability to navigate complex fund structures and documentation
Solid knowledge of the credit underwriting process
Fluency in ISDA terminology and documentation
The expected base annual salary range for this position is $275,000 - $3250,000 at the start of employment. This is not a guarantee of compensation. The exact compensation is determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on skills, experience, training licensure, certifications and location.
