Position Summary:

The primary responsibilities of the National Accounts Manager are to initiate relationships in the Broker/Dealer (B/D) channel and to develop and expand these relationships through coordination of sales and marketing activities with the home office personnel of the broker dealer.  This role will also support other national accounts team members and national account projects by assisting with developing proposals and business plans.

Essential Job Functions[1]:

  1. Create business development plans for each of the large B/D sub channels – wirehouses, independent and regional broker dealers.  The development plans will consider:
    1. Prospective B/D prioritization
    2. Strategies to contact gatekeepers, wrap program managers, and research analysts
  2. Work with client home offices to increase ProFund product visibility through avenues such as
    1. Participating in national and regional conferences
    2. Conducting ‘Webinars’
    3. Identifying and calling on high end producers
  3. Coordinate efforts with Profunds national accounts and wholesaling teams
  4. Provide client services
  5. Act as liaison between all internal support functions and B/D accounts – operations, transfer agencies, custodians, etc
  6. Ensure reporting and communications is frequent and bi-directional
  7. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience:

  1. BA/BS degree.
  2. Appropriate FINRA licenses required
  3. Ten or more years national accounts experience
  4. Demonstrated record of successful business development in the broker dealer channel

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Ability to proactively call Broker Dealer partners to secure appointments and conduct information meetings.
  2. Possess in-depth understanding of the industry, financial concepts, product knowledge, investment management, and client-service strategies
  3. Have well developed negotiation and problem solving skills, with the ability to recognize and articulate both direct and indirect benefits, as well as direct and indirect costs
  4. Business acumen
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with emphasis on written skills in generating cogent and thoughtful proposals and business plans
  6. Be able to prioritize B/D projects and requests effectively
  7. Understand the needs of B/D partners in order to identify “critical” services they must have, competitive services they expect to have and additional services they would like to have
  8. Possess breadth of product knowledge in order to act as ProFund Advisors main point of contact in dealing with the client and the prospect

The compensation for this position includes salary and incentive pay. The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 (USD), which does not include discretionary bonus compensation. Total compensation may vary based on experience, role, location, department, and individual performance.
