Location and Schedule     

  • This position will report to Denver International Airport Concourse A Badging Office and the Airport Satellite Badging Office. Badging Agents rotate offices each week. Parking is provided for each office.  

  • Four, 10-hour weekday shifts 

  • 6:30am to 5:00pm 

  • Schedules based on the needs of the organization and are subject to change. 

What You'll Do

As a front-line Badging Services Agent, you will rotate between one of our two Airport Security Badging Offices serving as a front-line representative, providing exceptional customer service to more than 40,000 airport employees. You will process badge applications for new and renewing airport employees. You will verify work authorization and identity documents, capture biometric information, and issue airport identification badges in accordance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the Airport Security Program (ASP), and airport policies. You will educate applicants and stakeholders on badging requirements, resolve customer inquiries, maintain accurate records, and utilize multiple technology systems to manage identity and access. 

Badging Services Agents in the DEN Badging Office are also responsible for the following:  

  • Greet customers as they enter the office and process them in the digital appointment queuing system; provide customer service and assistance in a prompt, efficient, courteous, and professional manner; work to resolve issues and customer concerns quickly and effectively 

  • Review and evaluate fingerprinting and badging applications, personal identity and work authorization documents, and other information to determine accuracy, acceptability, and compliance with federal and DEN security regulations 

  • Verify and accurately record information in the Identity Management System (IDMS) for use in security threat assessment and criminal history records checks 

  • Display high standards of ethical conduct and attention to detail, promote a culture of teamwork, foster a positive and friendly atmosphere, and demonstrate empathy towards customers and coworkers 

  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with customers, teammates and management, verbally and in writing, considering the audience and nature of the information being shared 

  • Explain rules, regulations and expectations to airport, air carrier, concessionaire, and contract employees in a clear, patient, and understandable manner 

  • Enroll and train customers in the biometrics and facial authentication programs for specific employee access points at DEN 

  • Maintain confidentiality of personally identifiable information (PII) and sensitive security information (SSI) per federal regulations 

  • Ensure all applicants successfully complete required badge holder responsibility and security training prior to issuing an Airport ID badge 

  • Professionally and courteously answer high-volume phone requests and other inquiries from customers for information and appointments 

  • Operate and maintain specialized badging equipment associated with badge creation 

  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate. 

  • Experience Requirement:    Three (3) years of experience performing administrative work, providing excellent customer service, and utilizing technology in a security, compliance, regulatory, or high-volume customer service environment. 

  • Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements. 

  • License/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. 

  • Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment. 

FBI Background Check   

FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.    

Shift Work, Snow Duties, and Emergency Incidents   

Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If staffing challenges arise, weather conditions warrant, or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees will be required to work extended hours and/or alternative shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
