We are seeking a strategic Senior Manager of Exchange Operations to oversee and optimize both supply-side (SSP, publishers) and demand-side (DSP) relationships. This role will be critical in managing and growing our programmatic ad exchange by ensuring high-quality supply and demand integrations, optimizing performance, and driving profitability. The Senior Manager will play a key, cross-functional role at Emodo, focused on operational efficiency and seamless partner collaborations, contributing to the overall growth of the business.

The Emodo team is small, which means you will have the opportunity to work with our co-founders and will play an outsized role in delivering results for the company. This is the perfect role for someone eager to grow their career by having a broad scope of responsibilities and laying the foundation for scale. Our backing by OneMagnify and Crestview Partners means we’re no ordinary start-up.

About You:

  • Are a strong relationship-builder and possess strong interpersonal skills, with the skill to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial! You have a hands-on attitude, and you know how to lead the way in complex and real time situations.
  • Have a solid understanding of and familiarity with programmatic technologies and platforms
  • Self-motivated, self-learning, and proactive in identifying all viable solutions for clients

What You'll Do:

  • Supply Management: Oversee the onboarding, integration, and ongoing management of SSPs, direct publishers, and other supply partners. Ensure a high-quality, diverse supply pool that meets demand needs and drives revenue growth.
  • DSP Operations Management: Manage relationships with DSP partners, overseeing integrations and ensuring they are aligned with exchange goals. Monitor and improve DSP performance, fill rates, and bid participation to maximize revenue and demand flow across the exchange.
  • Inventory and Demand Optimization: Monitor and manage key metrics on both supply and demand sides, including fill rate, eCPM, traffic quality, and bid response rates. Optimize inventory performance while working with DSPs to improve their bid participation and success rates.
  • Revenue Share and Yield Management: Collaborate with supply and demand partners to optimize revenue share agreements, ensuring profitability while maximizing yield for both publishers and DSPs. Implement strategies to improve yield and bid activity.
  • Partner and Vendor Relationships: Develop and nurture strong relationships with both supply (SSPs, publishers) and demand (DSPs) partners. Serve as the primary point of contact for onboarding, technical support, and performance management, ensuring long-term, profitable partnerships.
  • Supply and Demand Data Analytics: Leverage data analysis tools (SQL, Python, Databricks) to track and analyze the performance of both supply and demand sides. Provide actionable insights to improve inventory quality, DSP engagement, and overall exchange performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product, engineering, sales, and finance teams to ensure alignment between supply and demand, and ensure operational readiness for new integrations or market opportunities.
  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Lead negotiations with SSPs, publishers, and DSPs to ensure favorable terms, revenue share agreements, and SLAs that align with business objectives. Oversee contract management and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
  • Technical Oversight: Collaborate with engineering and product teams to manage and optimize the technical integrations for both supply and DSP partners, ensuring smooth operation and high platform uptime.
