Sr. Medical Manager (Oncology) - Indianapolis, IN

The Opportunity:
The Sr. Medical Manager is a strategic leader within the Medical & Scientific Affairs (MSA) organization, responsible for developing and executing the clinically focused Medical Affairs strategy for an assigned portfolio. This role defines the overall clinical strategy while collaborating closely with scientific and cross-functional stakeholders.
The position requires strong partnerships across internal teams including Marketing, Sales, Training & Development, Market Access, Communications, and MSA to ensure integrated and cohesive medical affairs initiatives. Externally, the Sr. Medical Manager engages national clinical experts, oncologists, professional and patient associations, and pharmaceutical partners to advance biomarker testing and support adoption of companion diagnostics and precision medicine solutions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Education
Define and deliver multi-channel external education strategy for healthcare professionals
Support the development and delivery of training programs for internal stakeholders (e.g. sales, marketing, medical) and external pharmaceutical partner employees on the clinical utility of assigned portfolio
Serve as clinical expert for commercial teams to review and support marketing programs, materials, and product launches
Evidence Generation
Define and execute US medical affairs evidence generation plan including clinical studies to further validate clinical utility and patient impact of our diagnostic tests
Provide US expert clinical opinion and feedback to global R&D and medical affairs teams to ensure appropriate design of global studies
Contribute to the preparation and review of abstracts, posters, manuscripts and other scientific publications
External Engagement
Partner on the execution of pharmaceutical partnerships for companion diagnostic launches and integration into US practice
Build and nurture strong scientific relationships with national clinical experts and professional and patient associations
Who You Are:
Doctorate Level Degree + 3 years of relevant work experience OR
Masters Level Degree in Science + 5 years previously relevant related experience OR
Bachelors Level Degree in Science + 7 years relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare professional designation preferred; 2+ years in pharmaceutical or oncology industry experience strongly preferred.
Experience in Medical Affairs strategy, marketing, business development, or market access is an asset.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse healthcare and laboratory professionals.
Skilled in interpreting, presenting, and communicating scientific and medical information.
Strong collaboration, communication, and ability to work in a matrixed organization.
Business acumen with strategic decision-making; adaptable in rapidly changing environments.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN is between $148,800 and $276,300. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
