Your Role
As a DevOps Engineer (Linux) at arculus, you will enable reliable, secure, and automated delivery of Linux-based microservices and applications. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, support development teams in deploying production-ready software, and continuously improve automation and operational practices. Working closely with development, QA, and product teams, you help ensure that our systems scale reliably and efficiently.
Your tasks will include:
- Maintain and optimize Linux-based CI/CD pipelines for microservice applications
- Automate build, test, packaging, and deployment processes
- Deploy and operate microservices in Linux environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance
- Monitor pipeline and deployment health, performance, and operational metrics
- Develop scripts and automation using Bash, Python, Ansible, or similar tools
- Integrate third-party tools and open-source components while ensuring stability and compliance
- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to troubleshoot build and deployment issues
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps practices
- Evaluate and introduce tools and improvements to enhance pipeline efficiency and reliability
Your Experience
- Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role within a Linux-based environment
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
- Proficiency with scripting and automation tools such as Bash, Python, and Ansible
- Experience with container technologies and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
- Experience deploying and operating microservices in Linux environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional, Agile teams
- Proficiency in English is required; German is a plus
Nice to have
- Experience with hybrid or cloud-based environments
- Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
- Knowledge of security, monitoring, and logging in Linux-based systems
- Familiarity with microservice architectures and distributed systems
- Experience with Linux packaging (e.g., Debian-based systems)
- Knowledge of Linux security and certificate management
