Position: Assistant Billing Manager Department: Project & Development Services (PDS) Location: Mumbai

Position Overview: The Assistant Billing Manager will support billing operations for JLL's data center and commercial greenfield projects in the Mumbai region. This role requires strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and experience in construction project billing cycles. The successful candidate will ensure accurate, timely invoicing and maintain excellent client relationships while supporting the growth of JLL's PDS portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Billing Operations:

  • Prepare and process accurate invoices for data center and commercial greenfield projects

  • Coordinate with project managers to validate billing milestones and deliverables

  • Maintain comprehensive billing schedules and track payment milestones

  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and billing provisions

  • Generate monthly billing reports and variance analysis

Client Management:

  • Serve as primary contact for client billing inquiries and disputes

  • Coordinate with clients for invoice approvals and payment follow-ups

  • Maintain strong relationships with client finance teams and project stakeholders

  • Prepare billing presentations and attend client meetings as required

Process Management:

  • Implement and maintain standardized billing procedures and controls

  • Support month-end and quarter-end closing processes

  • Coordinate with internal teams including Finance, Legal, and Project Management

  • Maintain accurate project cost tracking and budget monitoring

  • Assist in development of billing SOPs and process improvements

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Ensure proper documentation of all billing transactions and communications

  • Support internal and external audits related to project billing

  • Maintain compliance with JLL policies and client-specific requirements

  • Prepare detailed billing reconciliations and aging reports

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or project finance

  • Strong knowledge of construction project billing cycles preferred

  • Proficiency in Excel, SAP, and billing software applications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities

  • Experience with data center or commercial real estate projects preferred
