ABOUT THE ROLE
The Manager – Business Intelligence & Analytics leads the strategy, development, and execution of data and insight capabilities across the Brazil. The role is essential to IBU-level analytics and market research transformation, delivers high-quality insights to shape commercial and medical decisions, and influences senior leadership to embed and enable data-driven execution.
In partnership with global BI&A, GCDP, Tech@Lilly, and Brazil Commercial leadership, the role strengthens primary and secondary data impact through strong governance, advanced methodologies, and modern platforms — managing a team of a team of analysts across Market Research, Analytics, and Advanced Data Capabilities, plus offshore oversight.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Transformation
Define and execute the ASG analytics and market research strategy, aligned with global BI&A priorities and the enterprise data platform.
Lead key data and technology transformation initiatives, building IBU-scalable data foundations that enable automation, AI, and advanced analytics.
Shape long-term data and architecture decisions with Tech@Lilly to ensure future-proof, enterprise-ready solutions.
Actively identify and co-create IBU-scalable analytics solutions and best practices in partnership with global BI&A, Tech@Lilly, and business stakeholders.
Establish robust data governance frameworks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across global and Brazil reporting environments.
Drive the redesign, harmonization, and modernization of dashboards, migrating legacy assets toward enterprise standards.
Represent BI&A in Brazil Commercial leadership forums, strategic planning cycles, and brand reviews, ensuring analytics are embedded in decision-making.
Business Impact, Collaboration & Capability Building
Lead ASG adoption and scaling of the Enterprise Data Backbone, turning data foundations into practical, reusable applications across Medical, PRA/Corporate Affairs, and Marketing.
Partner with OCE, CRM, Digital Business Hub, and engagement teams to connect data strategy with customer experience insights and omnichannel execution.
Lead Impact Model cycles, KPI standardization, and consistent performance measurement across the Hub, influencing decisions on portfolio optimization, brand performance, and launch readiness.
Translate complex analytics into actionable insights for senior stakeholders across Commercial, Medical, Finance, Corporate Affairs, and Operations.
Lead data-driven field force sizing, restructuring, and targeting for Medical and Sales, including Sales Incentives analytics and performance metrics.
Strengthen analytics maturity through training, adoption programs, and data literacy initiatives that promote self-service analytics and sustainable capability building.
Mentor BI&A talent in advanced analytics, storytelling, experimentation, and enterprise data solutions.
Manage vendor and offshore teams to ensure high-quality, on-time, and cost-effective analytics delivery.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in analytics, commercial operations, or related functions.
Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience (direct reports and/or matrix leadership).
Minimum 3 years of insights/analytics experience, preferably in pharma or a comparable regulated industry.
Proven IT project and platform management experience.
Strong portfolio and vendor management capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders across commercial and medical functions.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); German preferred.
ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES
Leadership and change-management experience, with a track record of guiding teams through capability transitions.
Track record delivering scalable data and IT projects in multi-stakeholder, matrixed environments.
Global or multi-market analytics experience.
Deep understanding of pharma commercial, medical, and omnichannel models.
Curiosity for AI and analytics trends, with the discipline to translate them into pragmatic enterprise solutions.
Ability to navigate complexity and collaborate cross-functionally across affiliate, hub, and global layers.
Customer-centric mindset and bias toward measurable business outcomes.
