Position Overview: As a team member here, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and managing the health of a diverse range of animals. You will work closely with pet owners to provide comprehensive care and build lasting relationships. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your expertise and compassion will make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough examinations of animals to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
  • Perform surgical procedures, including routine and emergency surgeries.
  • Administer vaccinations, medications, and other treatments as required.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for various health issues.
  • Educate pet owners on preventative care, nutrition, and overall animal wellness.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.
  • Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in Michigan.
  • Proven experience in a veterinary practice is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong diagnostic and surgical skills with a commitment to high-quality care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Compassionate attitude and a genuine love for animals.
