MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prioritize critical cases and stats in the Radiologists' work list to optimize workflow.
  • Ensure proper sequencing of cases and maintain a systematic approach to task prioritization.
  • Confirm the presence of all required images and documentation for patient encounters.
  • Communicate with Radiology tech departments to obtain missing images or documentation as necessary.
  • Verify the loading of prior images and reports, ensuring completeness of patient records.
  • Accurately transcribe findings from Radiologists to create final reports using established templates and macros.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology to ensure precise documentation of radiology reports.
  • Facilitate communication between emergency room physicians and Radiologists for critical calls and pertinent findings.
  • Demonstrate assertiveness and professionalism in handling urgent and critical situations.
  • Enforce strict adherence to confidentiality protocols in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
  • Safeguard patient information and always ensure its secure handling.
  • Skillfully manage multiple responsibilities concurrently to ensure the timely creation of Radiology reports, effective worklist management, and handling critical calls.
  • Maintain a high level of efficiency to support the overall productivity of the Radiology department.

ADMINISTRATION/POLICY COMPLIANCE

Plans and seeks approval for all vacation leave, ensuring there is enough communication and consideration with co-workers.  Advise Manager for Sick Leave at least 1 hour before scheduled shift. Communicate personnel concerns / requests to Manager. Abide by Epic Healthcare Staffing Shared Services, Inc.’s policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 1-2 years of healthcare exposure whether it be through education or professional healthcare experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Radiology, Biology, Health Sciences) is preferred.
  • Healthcare professionals (Nurses, Rad Techs) with imaging-related experience is also preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to understand and accurately transcribe medical information.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred
  • Previous experience as a Medical Scribe with a focus on imaging interpretation is highly desirable.
  • Imaging (Xray, CT Scan, MRI, PET Scan, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, etc.) experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent typing skills with a focus on speed and accuracy (at least 60 wpm)
  • Computer savvy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Must be motivated and interested in healthcare
  • Energetic and can work in a fast-paced environment.
  • OK with the hours requirement to support the Radiologist (weekend shifts, changing shifts, 7 days on/7 days off, etc.) and flexible to any change in shifts
  • Fast and stable internet connection (at least 200-400 mbps internet speed)
  • OK to train onsite in Makati for approximately 1-2 months
