Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong expertise in automation using Playwright to support system reliability, scalability, and performance. This role involves collaborating with development and QA teams to enhance system stability and automate testing and operational workflows. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensure proactive monitoring, and support agile deployment practices supporting enterprise digital transformation and operational excellence.

Software Requirements
 

Required Software Proficiency:

  • Playwright (latest version supported by current browsers) — hands-on experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks for end-to-end testing

  • Scripting: JavaScript (ES6+), Python — for automating operational, testing, and monitoring tasks

  • Cloud platforms: AWS (supporting deployment, resources, and scaling) — experience scaling services in AWS

  • CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI — supporting automated testing, deployment, and quality gates

  • Monitoring & Logging tools: CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Datadog — experience automating alerts, logs, and health checks

Preferred Software Skills:

  • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes — for environment consistency and scalable deployment support

  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation — supporting environment setup and automation (preferred)

  • Load Testing Tools: JMeter, Gatling — for performance testing and capacity planning support

Overall Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automation frameworks supporting system testing, monitoring, and operational workflows

  • Develop and execute automated tests, monitoring scripts, and deployment checks supporting CI/CD and agile practices

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to enhance system stability, scalability, and performance

  • Automate routine operational tasks, alerting, and incident response workflows supporting proactive maintenance and faster response times

  • Support cloud deployment, environment scaling, and system upgrades to optimize performance and resilience

  • Conduct root cause analysis of failures, bottlenecks, and security issues supporting continuous improvement

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of automation frameworks, processes, and operational procedures

  • Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and industry best practices to improve automation, testing, and monitoring effectiveness

  • Proven experience designing, deploying, and maintaining automation frameworks supporting web, API, and system health checks

  • Strong background in automating incident responses, system checks, and performance validations supporting enterprise standards

  • Experience working within agile, DevOps, or continuous delivery environments supporting enterprise digital operations

  • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, autoscaling, and high-availability deployment practices in a regulated industry (preferred)

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Develop, test, and maintain automation scripts supporting web, API, and operational workflows

  • Automate system health checks, incident escalation workflows, and performance monitoring routines

  • Collaborate with development, operations, and QA teams to ensure testing, deployment, and system stability support continuous delivery

  • Support cloud deployment activities, environment scaling, and system upgrades supporting high availability and compliance

  • Troubleshoot automation failures, log, and monitor incidents proactively to reduce downtime

  • Enhance existing automation frameworks, introduce new tools, and optimize processes supporting agility and quality

  • Document automation processes, scripts, configurations, and operational procedures

  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives supporting agile delivery

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field

  • 5 to 7 years supporting automation, system monitoring, or DevOps activities supporting enterprise systems

  • Certifications in AWS, DevOps, or relevant automation tools are a plus

  • Proven experience supporting automation workflows supporting large-scale, secure, and compliant systems in regulated environments
