The Junior Product Owner is responsible for managing the development and/or implementation of Motorola Solutions' products or services. They will coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams to deliver new or upgraded products or services. This role involves overseeing projects from inception to completion, tracking project performance, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality metrics. The Junior Product Owner will actively participate in project review and status meetings, communicate project status, and utilize agile project management methodologies to maximize project effectiveness. Additionally, they may contribute to the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to capitalize on business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Manage the development and/or implementation of Motorola Solutions' products or services.
Coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams to deliver new or upgraded products or services.
Oversee projects from inception to completion or transition, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality metrics.
Track and evaluate project performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary corrective actions.
Actively participate in project review and status meetings, providing updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
Utilize agile project management methodologies to ensure maximum project effectiveness.
Motivate project teams to ensure optimal performance and maintain high levels of productivity.
Assist in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to seize business opportunities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and define product roadmaps within JIRA
Stay informed about industry trends, market demands, and competitive landscape to inform product development decisions.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Business Analyst
Good understanding of ecommerce and industry standards, including knowledge of online payment systems, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
1 year of experience working in an agile development environment, with a strong understanding of agile principles and methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work with stakeholders to gather requirements and document user stories.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze complex requirements and translate them into actionable product features.
Strong bias for action and ability to work independently toward goals.
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with user experience (UX) principles and the ability to conduct user research and usability testing to inform UX design decisions.
Proficiency in using business analysis tools and techniques, such as process flow diagrams, use cases, and data modeling.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in ecommerce,
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Familiarity with project management tools, such as Jira, to track and manage requirements and user stories.
Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision making to optimize product features and user experience.
