Job Description
The Role
As a Senior Supply Chain Responsible Sourcing Analyst, you will join our Socially Responsible and Sustainable Supply Chains Team. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a team responsible for developing and implementing the company's supply chain compliance and ethical sourcing processes, policies, and goals. This presents a unique opportunity supporting the further development of our program and conducting governance activities driving our program forward.
In line with GM's vision of achieving zero emissions, zero crashes, and zero congestion, as well as our commitment to becoming the most inclusive company in the world, your work will contribute to a more responsible future for all. Building strong relationships with GM suppliers, industry partners, and associations will be a key aspect of your role, while ensuring alignment and collaboration both internally and externally. You will collaborate closely with various business units within GM, including Global Purchasing and Supply Chain (GPSC), Communications, Legal, Compliance, Public Policy, and others.
Your main focus will be on social responsibility and compliance, but you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues who are integrating environmental sustainability into GM's global supply chain. Your responsibilities will involve developing and implementing strategies and techniques to drive organizational change and embed compliance and ethical sourcing practices throughout the supply chain.
As a Responsible Sourcing Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving forward our compliance and ethical sourcing program in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This will require a strong drive to thoroughly examine problems, a passion to uphold GM’s Supplier Code of Conduct and the ability to work with stakeholders to develop implementable solutions. One of your key responsibilities will be program management of high visibility initiatives, making excellent communication skills essential. You will have the opportunity to interface with senior leaders within GPSC, as well as across GM, contributing to the overall success of the program.
In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert of compliance and ethical sourcing within the supply chain. You may also be called upon to act as a primary contact and represent GM in forums with suppliers and industry associations.
