We are seeking a Senior Manager, Business Consultant to join our newly formed Performance Optimization team. The Senior Manager is responsible for leading and supporting multiple, large-scale projects including coordination, planning, development, implementation and financial impact analysis. Other essential components of this role include accountability for establishing and managing cross-functional implementation workgroups, anticipating business and resource needs, setting priorities, establishing accountabilities, identifying and assessing risks and issues, adhering to timelines as well as executing and ensuring documentation is clear and concise. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently to identify requirements, research and resolve barriers to progress and influence team members to work with urgency.
In this role, you'll make an impact by:
Acting as a subject matter expert for GRS, utilizing functional and working knowledge of business priorities to deliver on expected results
Serving in an agile and highly collaborative manner in order to drive change that results in improved organizational performance results and effectiveness
Recommending appropriate actions, strategies and / or alternative courses of action to meet business needs
Generating ideas while working cross-functionally to bring innovative solutions and initiatives to the forefront
Overseeing cross-functional project / tactical plan creation, execution and creating alignment / synergy
Developing actionable insights derived from project management tools, data analysis and stakeholder feedback to drive improvement opportunities
Leading initiatives to establish and maintain a comprehensive understanding of internal and external influences and competitive pressures to develop and enhance opportunities
Identifying and elevating gaps / risks in processes, solutions, initiatives, etc. to challenge and guide others to develop and implement enhancements
Mobilizing cross-functional support required to achieve business objectives, including areas of tactical and strategic support
Consolidating information from various sources, synthesizing project data and insights to provide comprehensive reports, presentations and updates to stakeholders
Ensuring the end-state of assigned projects and initiatives meet desired business objectives and that all stakeholder deliverables and due dates are met
Working across the business to inform, solicit input and implement solutions
Understanding and socializing the impact of decisions on the execution of strategic priorities
Translating strategies, data, analytics and other forms of business intelligence into meaningful and clear messages and actions
Acting as a direct extension of the GRS Account Management team by engaging with and presenting to plan sponsors as needed
Key responsibilities:
Assist with improving and transforming Group Medicare business performance through various operations, process development and transformation as well as project management
Enable the ability to identify, navigate and implement solutions to drive improved business performance and efficiency
Act as a top-level specialist on program and initiative planning by developing comprehensive program plans that encompass objectives, deliverables, timelines, owners, etc.
Allocate accountability by assigning clear responsibilities and expectations to team members to ensure accurate and timely execution
Coordinate working sessions and collaborate with multiple departments
Foster cross-functional collaboration and coordination to achieve set goals and objectives
Conduct evaluations and assessments, monitor progress, identify risks and issues along with taking corrective actions to keep initiatives on track
Facilitate knowledge sharing among working teams, consolidate information from various sources, synthesize data and insights to provide comprehensive reports, presentations and updates to internal and external stakeholders
Create reports and presentations to support working sessions and ongoing reviews
Establish deep working relationships with business partners at all levels
Plan, execute and oversee special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
7+ years' experience in strategy, financial analysis, healthcare analytics, project / program management and delivery; preferably within the healthcare or insurance industry
Working knowledge of the following business areas: clinical, network, revenue integrity
Experience producing results by working within established timeframes, deadlines and understanding next steps
Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, problem resolution and critical thinking skills
Proven ability to influence and collaborate with business partners at all levels
Experience presenting to audiences at all levels in an open and transparent way that quickly builds trust and respect
Highly motivated self-starter with a growth mindset
Confidence and courage to work independently, execute priorities, identify and initiate improvements without requiring step-by-step direction
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient Medicare background
Internal and / or external healthcare consulting background
Experience working with large sets of data and / or information
PMP certification
Education
Bachelor's Degree required
Advanced Degree preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$75,400.00 - $182,549.40
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
