The Finance Analyst is responsible for the financial planning and analysis Ingredion’s Asia Pacific business.  Primary planning responsibilities focus on the consolidation of financial information and the delivering tactical financial analysis. Support development of mid to long range financial projections that accurately reflects the region’s business plan.  Furthermore, the analyst will ensure the quality financial data in system and support Regional office cost control as well as Cost to Compete KPI tracking.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Business –
    • Support to deliver financial analysis of historical performance, forecasts and targets to the regional management team
    • Consolidate financial performances and business results during the Latest Estimate (LE), Quarterly Business Review (QBR), Quarterly Operation Review (QOR), Monthly business Review (MBR) processes to provide accurate and reliable forecasts and commentary in order to facilitate the achievement of business goals and targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
    • Support the annual business plan and forecasts as required, work as coordinator for APAC regional financial information systems (BPC, BW, SAP) and business dashboard (Power BI); provides master data administration, support regional finance team during the planning process by modify reporting templates and trouble-shoot with IT team as needed.
    • Consolidate APAC OPEX as well as Regional Office budget and provide analysis of cost variance at APAC view and deeper insight analysis provide to regional cost center owners.
    • Working with Regional Finance, commercial teams and IT to ensure the quality of APAC financial data in system.

  • Agility and Innovation –
    • Improving efficiencies and performance as well as provide quality financial information. Support to develop better financial processes, Finance reporting tools, Management reporting tools, budgeting and estimating processes that will increase capacity for value-adding analyses.
    • Look for digital transformation opportunities for Finance reporting efficiency and accuracy improvement.
    • Collaborate with Regional Finances and IT teams to continuously enhance the availability of timely and accurate financial and other data from our systems to support strategic decision analytics
    • Provide financial analytical support for strategic initiatives by risk assessment and scenario planning.

  • Relationships and People –
    • Work closely with regional finance teams, Marketing, Innovation, Commercial, Operations and Finance teams to gather and assess critical inputs for financial forecast.
    • Coordinate with KL SSC Team to ensure timely delivery of the periodic financial reporting.
    • Codify best practices regarding how Finance supports business strategy and risk assessment of proposals.
    • Anticipates organizational challenges and resolves them by working collaboratively with teams beyond their own area of direct responsibility.

Qualified candidates will have:

Mandatory requirements:  

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Finance Accounting or Business related field
  • 3~4 years plus relevant financial planning and analysis required
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite: Excel, Powerpoint, Word.
  • English fluency, both written and spoken

Desirable requirements:  

  • Finance certification such as CMA, CFA, CPA designation a plus.
  • Experience with SAP, SAP BW, BPC, Business Objects, Power BI
  • Strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation
