NIE invites applicants for an Executive position in the Finance Department.

Responsibilities

You will be part of the team responsible for managing the Institute’s accounts, GST, and other financial matters. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing financial statements, management accounts, GST returns, and statistical reports.
  • Performing month-end reconciliations in accordance with stipulated timelines.
  • Processing payments accurately and within specified due dates, in compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Monitoring cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for payments and managing fixed deposit placements.
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors on audit schedules and audit-related queries.
  • Assisting in the administration of grant applications and coordinating with auditors on grant certification audits.
  • Supporting collections and receipting activities across various electronic payment channels.
  • Contributing to the design, implementation, and review of financial processes, policies, and guidelines to drive continuous improvement through streamlining and automation.
  • Participating in system implementations, enhancements, and user acceptance testing.
  • Performing ad hoc duties assigned.

Requirements

  • A Polytechnic Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of financial administration and accounting work experience.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt, with problem-solving skills.
  • An effective team player with the ability to work independently is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities in an organized manner, able to multi-task, track and deliver assignments on schedule.
  • Self-motivated, energetic and results oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience in SAP would be an added advantage.
