• <point>Architecting, designing, developing, and optimizing Bolt’s Compute Platform, providing robust and scalable processing capabilities using Presto, Databricks, and Airflow (coding mostly in Python and Scala).</point>
• <point>Leading cost and performance optimization initiatives to improve query execution efficiency, reduce infrastructure costs, and enhance system scalability.</point>
• <point>Ensuring high availability and reliability of the compute stack, minimizing downtime for stakeholders. Collaborating with key internal stakeholders (data engineers, analytics teams, and platform engineers) to build scalable and innovative solutions tailored to their needs.</point>
• <point>Helping lead feature development and infrastructure initiatives from idea to execution, ensuring technical excellence and long-term maintainability.</point>
• <point>Working closely with Product teams to prioritize and deliver incremental improvements that enhance developer experience and system performance.</point>
• <point>Sharing knowledge and promoting engineering best practices, including giving tech talks, mentoring junior engineers, and advocating for new technologies where appropriate.</point>
