Summary of Job Duties:

The Manager of Security & Investigations is responsible for planning, implementing, and executing strategies to secure facilities and increase the safety of employees, visitors, and patients as well as UAMS property and assets. This includes all activities related to implementing investigation plans, compilation, analysis, and distribution of database reports. Assist with the development and coordination of training and education programs, risk and threat assessments, incident reviews, and debriefings.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related plus five (5) years of experience with investigations, security, or law enforcement with 3 years in a leadership capacity  -OR-
  • Associate's degree plus 7 years experience OR
  • High School Diploma (9) years of experience with investigations, security, or law enforcement .
  • Knowledge of (Microsoft office Suite), good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Customer-service oriented / ability to work within a team structure, lead, and multitask 
  • Demonstrates qualities of leadership with an understanding of physical security and security systems function and design.
  • Demonstrates qualities of personnel management and planning practices and techniques.
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, rules, and policies to specific situations.
  • Compiles data and audit information for preparation of reports and schedules and records findings and analysis of information for future projections.
  • Occasional work beyond normal hours and potential exposure to danger is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licenses & Certification -

    Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates or Reid & Associates Interview and Interrogation training.

    CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PCI (Professional Certified Investigator) or PSP (Physical Security Professional)
