Virtuous is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Product Marketing to lead our initiatives in revolutionizing how nonprofits grow their giving through modern best practices and the latest advancements in software and AI.
The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who is willing to be hands-on in crafting compelling narratives and clear messaging that connect product to buyer while developing disruptive GTM, sales enablement and product adoption strategies that showcase the art of possible via the transformative power of our Responsive Fundraising solutions.
Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will be building a team from the ground-up and be responsible for engaging cross-functionally with our internal teams to help design, plan and execute messaging, positioning and go-to-market strategies that drive measurable success.
Success in this role will be measured by your impact on Virtuous content, tools and programming that drives our win rates, conversion rates, campaign performance, asset utilization, and feature adoption, amongst others key metrics.
Strategic Vision and Leadership: Collaborating with the CMO and various teams to develop and execute product marketing strategies that position Virtuous and our Responsive Fundraising framework and platform as the catalyst for Nonprofit transformation.
Storytelling: Crafting compelling stories that communicate the differentiated value and impact of our solutions on Nonprofit fundraising and other critical business functions.
Market Analysis and Competitive Insights: Conducting thorough market research and align with key industry analysts to identify trends and opportunities for disruption and competitive differentiation within the Nonprofit domain.
Go-to-Market: Leading go-to-market strategies, ensuring successful product launches and adoption while working closely with our demand generation team to maximize the impact of inbound and outbound campaigns.
Product Insights: Aligning closely with Product Management on the product roadmap and providing marketing inputs to influence feature development, market expansion and pricing and packaging.
Sales Effectiveness: Working with Sales, SDR, Enablement, Customer Success and other customer and prospect-facting teams to align product vision and marketing strategies with their needs and goals.
Customer Insights: Gaining a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Pricing and Packaging:
Performance Tracking: Defining and tracking key metrics to measure the success of product marketing initiatives.
Content and Thought Leadership: Partnering with Virtuous leadership, team and channel partners to develop content and visionary insights on the future of nonprofit fundraising, data and benchmarking, AI and technology to position Virtuous as an industry thought leader.
Team Leadership: Building, managing and mentoring a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence while building the team’s capacity to scale and deliver in a high-growth environment.
Proven Product Marketing Expertise: 10+ years of experience in Product Marketing leadership roles, preferably in technology sectors such as cloud, CRM or marketing solutions. Experience scaling marketing operations in organizations with revenue exceeding $50M.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: A self-starter who is ready to dive-in on day one, move quickly, and be not only willing, but excited to be tactical during your first year as our only PMM, setting the foundation for building a team within 9-12 months.
Industry Knowledge: First-hand knowledge or experience working in nonprofit or nonprofit fundraising is a major plus, including a solid understanding of the unique needs and trends of the industry and a passion for driving innovation and change.
Strategic Vision: A proven track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies that drive growth and enhance market leadership.
Exceptional Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives tailored to diverse audiences.
Leadership Excellence: Demonstrated success in leading, growing, and inspiring high-performing and diverse marketing teams.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
Public Speaking Experience: Ability to speak to and engage with audiences on key topics relative to the company or industry.
Creative Orientation: A creative thinker capable of bringing innovative ideas to fruition.
Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and succeed in competitive environments.
