As a Compensation Analyst III for GEICO you will manage the administration of base salary compensation, job evaluations, market pricing, and salary structure. In this role you will also support the administration of year-end compensation. This role will support the Compensation Business Partner for Corporate functions serving as a partner between the compensation team and corporate business units. This position allows you to take a leading role and have the opportunity to develop, analyze and recommend improved compensations strategies that provide solutions to issues in creative and effective ways. You will also help to ensure internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and organizational policies.


Responsibilities:

  • Develops and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
  • Prepares survey submissions and gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
  • Support the Compensation Business Partner for corporate functions to serve the business for job evaluations, external candidate offers, salary structure reviews and other business needs as they arise.
  • Acts as project planner for scheduled and ad hoc initiatives such as salary schedule reviews, to include facilitating change controls, change management strategy and timeline. 
  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
  • Advises HR Business Partners and management on salary administration, job code use, wage-hour issues, state and federal pay regulations, as well as compensation policies and procedures.
  • May strategize and implement wholistic department job and compensation reviews
  • May propose job architecture structures and job profile taxonomy to support department structure and needs
  • May prepare and maintain job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed.  Gathers and documents job, organizational, and occupational information including duties, responsibilities, and skills required by each job.  Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.
  • Ideal candidate is comfortable speaking with senior business leaders on a variety of compensation matters and has ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years related experience in compensation analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Mathematics, Finance, or related field.
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience with Workday HCM and Advanced Compensation preferred.
  • Requirements:

Annual Salary

$72,000.00 - $138,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
