What You Will Do:

  • Assist a Federal Program Manager in the planning and execution of a federal acquisition that includes:
    • Requirements gathering for the contract(s).
    • Facilitation of market research (e.g., the development of a Request for Information).
    • Development of procurement package artifacts (e.g., Statement of Objectives, Market Research Report, Project Charter).
       
  • Provide general project and program management support to the Program Manager (e.g., developing and centralizing program resources, advising the Program Manager and providing process-related recommendations, and tracking project analytics).
     
  • Develop stakeholder communications and presentations, including executive-level briefings on program status, acquisition status, and related topics.


What You Will Need:

  • General Project Management Skills: As the sole team member supporting the Program Manager, the candidate must be a self-starter and capable of managing the client and project, prioritizing and coordinating project activities, and providing strategic direction based on the client’s goals and any project challenges.
    • NOTE: As the sole team member, the candidate must also be capable of executing on project and program tasks (i.e., be a doer as well as a thinker/project manager).
       
  • Stakeholder Engagement Skills: The candidate must be capable of coordinating with stakeholders across the organization to achieve project outcomes (e.g., facilitating requirements gathering, working with federal acquisitions stakeholders to facilitate acquisition development and execution). 


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Federal Acquisition Experience/Expertise: Experience in, and/or a base level of knowledge of federal contracting (e.g., the proposal/acquisition process, contract types, Federal Acquisition Regulation).
    • NOTE: There are acquisition experts employed with Guidehouse who will be available to provide advice and guidance. However, they will not be directly supporting this client.
