Job Description

Job Summary:

The Electronics Manufacturing Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the electronics manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production, high-quality output, and adherence to safety and compliance standards. This role involves technical expertise in Electronics Mfg., leadership and managing staff, coordinating production schedules, optimizing processes, and working closely with other departments to meet company goals and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Production Management: Oversee the entire manufacturing process, from receiving raw materials to finished products, ensuring timely and cost-effective production.

- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure products meet industry standards and customer specifications, address and resolve any quality issue that arise.

- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of module managers, production supervisors, technicians and operators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs. Ease the lean and six sigma implementation and stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.

- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring materials are available for production while minimizing excess stock.

- Safety Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing operations adhere to safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment and conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

- Collaboration: Work closely with the Human Resources, Planning, Procurement, Operational Excellence and Engineering to align production with company objectives.

- Reporting:  Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement, develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare and present regular reports on safety, production metrics, quality performance, and operational efficiency to senior management.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing management role within the electronics industry (a MUST)

Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, proficiency in production planning and control, knowledge of quality management systems, and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Technical Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, equipment, and industry standard, Understanding of quality management systems and standards (ISO9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO14001)

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and team management abilities,  excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish , with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, production management software, and MS Office Suite.
