Role Summary
Hands-on engineer responsible for building and executing automated and manual tests across layers of the stack. Works within Agile Teams to embed quality into every increment, applying DevSecOps practices and leveraging GenAI tools to accelerate delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Translate user stories and acceptance criteria into executable test cases.
Develop in-sprint automation for UI, API, and service layers using approved frameworks.
Execute automated and exploratory tests; report results in line with the team’s Definition of Done.
Apply GenAI/MCP servers to generate test scripts, data sets, and defect diagnostics.
Maintain test assets in version control (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
Collaborate with developers to identify defects early and improve testability.
Document test results and provide input into team dashboards (coverage, defects, velocity).
Participate in code reviews and contribute to framework improvements led by Senior Quality Engineering Specialist.
Support performance and security testing where guided by leads.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor’s degree or completion of a college program in a related discipline
Minimum 3 years of experience in test automation and/or software development in test.
Proficiency with at least one automation tool/framework (Playwright, REST Assured, Appium, Selenium).
Solid coding ability in Java, C#, or TypeScript.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Experience writing SQL queries and validating data.
Exposure to containers/microservices and basic security/performance testing practices.
English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired in British Columbia as set forth below.
