Leidos is looking for a Marine Engineering Intern to join us for the Summer of 2025.  The Mechanical Engineering Intern will work on assignments that are technical in nature support our Gibbs & Cox Marine Engineering department. The nature of work will usually relate to or support your current course of college/postgraduate study. Specific duties and responsibilities will be determined by management for each employee

Primary Responsibilities

Tasking will vary day to day and week to week depending on department needs. Tasks may include working under the direction of a department engineer supporting diagram, calculation, and report development. Mechanical Engineering Interns will also assist with checking products, developing tools for the department engineering staff (AutoCAD library blocks, calculation tools, technical aids, ets.) and administrative-style tasks.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college / university and pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar field of study
  • Must be at the rising Junior or rising Senior academic level by the Summer of 2025
  • Applicant should have an interest in ship design, marine engineering, naval surface combatants, and piping system design.
  • US Citizenship is required

Pay Range:

Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00
