Autonomous technology solutions are critical enablers for recreational marine, alleviating barriers for entry and reducing anxiety in traditionally stressful operational scenarios. The benefit of autonomous technology is enabling users to confidently operate vessels and focus on pleasurable aspects of boating. 

 

The successful Candidate shall 

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines 

  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, and resolve data ingestion, transformation, and loading issues 

  • Monitor the deployment of machine learning systems and models 

  • Develop machine learning models by selecting and applying appropriate machine learning algorithms and tools 

  • Productionize machine learning model prototypes and integrate them into user-facing software 

  • Develop software that enables advanced HMI, rich user interface, ADAS and autonomous user features and consider flexibility for global architecture requirements and internal/external interfaces of the future as well as rapid learning cycles 

 

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to feed machine learning models 

  • Integrate machine learning models into software applications 

  • Productionize machine learning prototypes and apply appropriate machine learning algorithms and tools 

  • Classifiers, CNN, Transformers, time series, spectral analysis, GRU, attention spectral models 

  • Train, evaluate, and monitor machine learning systems and models 

  • Data engineering, Data pipeline and MLops management 

  • Strong software background with complex software programming and development 

  • Agile software development best practices and tools - Jira, GitHub, Confluence, automated testing 

 

Required Experience/Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related quantitative field 

  • Knowledge of developing data pipelines 

  • In-depth knowledge of widely used machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn 

  • Strong grasp of machine learning algorithms, data structures, data modeling, software design 

  • Experience with requirement and issue tracking tools 

  • Strong Critical Thinking and communications skills, verbally and written.  

 

Preferred Experience/Skills 

  • Knowledge of computer vision algorithms, libraries, and tools such as OpenCV 

  • Experience in the deployment of machine learning models and monitoring in-production models 

  • Experience with developing data pipelines on cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)  

  • M.S. in computer science, data science, or related quantitative field 

  • Experience with sensors such as sonar, radar, lidar, and cameras 

  • Experience in the marine environment
