The main purpose of this position is to coordinate the operations of the Warranty Department in order to ensure that warranty claims are filed properly, warranty repairs have been completed fully, and to work closely with vendors and other departments regarding warranty related issues.
This individual will have the responsibility for understanding and identifying all repair work that is, or should be, covered under any of the manufacturer's warranties that apply to our company owned tractor and trailer fleet. Working with Vendors to ensure proper warranty coverage is being applied to all Werner owned and Lease Werner Equipment; The Sr Warranty Repair Analyst is responsible for following up on Repair Advocate Cases, assisting with repair parts shortages and addressing major component failures regardless of warranty coverage. Working with the Warranty Claims Manager(s), this individual will also be responsible for establishing processes and procedures for warranties. Additionally, procedures will be established and maintained, so that these parts are readily available for return, or inspection, by the respective manufacturers when needed for policy claims coverage. As an ongoing part of this job, this individual should, in the normal course of performing this job, become acquainted with all aspects of the duties and responsibilities of the Warranty Manager position, so that as needed, the Warranty Assistant is capable of performing these job functions in cases of emergency, vacations, or other unforeseen circumstances. Must also be ready to coach repair vendors and Road Breakdown agents on warranty coverages for Werner Enterprises equipment and review final invoices before issuing.

• File warranty claims on an ongoing basis.
• Follow up with vendors and/or other Werner departments regarding warranty issues.
• Work closely with Road Breakdown to ensure that unit has coverage.
• File warranty claims.
• Retrieve parts in order to ship out to vendors.
• General duties: Filing, copying, typing, telephone work, and any other assigned duties.
• Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of warranty claims experience preferred.
• Some accounting experience preferred.
• One year of AS 400 experience preferred.
