The Job Details are as follows:

The Network Engineer is primarily responsible for supporting on-premise projects in network infrastructure, and in the Cloud, using the latest technologies.

As a Network Engineer at OCLC:

  • Be part of a growing team responsible for designing and implementing next generation network and network security solutions using Arista, Cisco, Palo Alto, Cloudflare and F5.
  • Make an impact by supporting traditional and cloud data centers around the globe.
  • Follows and contributes to the configuration management and monitoring process.
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots network links, hardware problems or applications.
  • Help support world class service and availability to our employees and customers.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years experience related to Network or similar skills
  • Familiar with Arista and Cisco routers and switches.
  • Familiar with wireless monitoring and analysis tools
  • Some Familiarity with Firewall technologies, specifically Palo Alto
  • Understands and can support remote site architecture.
  • Works with others in implementing architectural changes.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems in existing network environments.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of standard infrastructure tools. (Radius, DNS, NTP, SYSLOG, SSH etc).
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills through resolution; understanding problem from the network, OS, and application levels
  • Scripting skills are a plus

Working Conditions: Normal office environment.
