ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Manager, Regional Sales – Northeast, you'll play a pivotal leadership role in accelerating growth for SC Johnson Professional by leading a high-performing team of seven sales professionals and driving execution across one of our most strategic regions. Reporting directly to the Director of Field Sales, you'll have the opportunity to influence business results, develop top talent, and shape customer and distributor strategies that drive market success.

In this role, you'll combine strategic vision with hands-on leadership—building and executing regional business plans, coaching and developing your team, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and winning. You'll partner closely with key end users and distributor leaders to deliver innovative, value-added solutions across our Skin Care, Hard Surface, and Iconic Brand portfolios, helping customers solve real-world challenges while growing market share.

As the regional business leader, you'll leverage data, insights, and SC Johnson Professional's sales methodology to drive pipeline strength, exceed revenue targets, and maximize territory performance. You'll also serve as a critical voice of the customer, bringing market intelligence and competitive insights to influence cross-functional strategies and future growth initiatives. * This is a remote Sales role that requires the employee to be located within the Northeastern United States (NY, NJ, ME, NH,  VT,  MA, CT, MD, DE and Eastern PA). 

*This role will be known as Regional VP within the PRO business. Within the broader SC Johnson organization, the job is graded as a Manager, Sales, Account Management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and maintain a high performing sales culture through managing, training, and inspiring a team of territory sales managers.
  • Creation, execution, and reporting of tactical regional business plan to deliver assigned revenue targets.
  • Facilitation and performance management of local territory plans to deliver regional business objectives. 
  • Establish, monitor and management of direct reports’ performance on critical territory KPI’s including customer activity, end user pipeline velocity & conversion and overall sales target achievement for each territory within assigned geography. 
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with leadership at key end users and distributor partners.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of SCJP and specific product value proposition, market landscape, competitive actions, and user needs.
  • Ensure adoption and utilization of SCJ Professional Sales Methodology
  • Daily utilization of SCJP support tools, reports and CRM system to optimize time, communication and direction.
  • Active and responsible management of expenses and financial investments related to personnel, brokers and customer funding (pricing, promotions, dispensers, etc.)
  • Act as the Voice of the user and distributor to provide ongoing market intelligence and competitive response options to senior management.  
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to create and implement customer-specific communications and promotions, product development, process improvement and strategic initiatives.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships and communications with all internal functions.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelors Degree AND 7+ years of sales or sales management experience within institutional, industrial, commercial channels of distribution with at least 4+ years of people leadership experience
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Experience within the Janitorial and Sanitation industry
  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a proven history motivating and developing field-based salespeople servicing with a focus on pipeline execution
  • Institutional selling and/or marketing experience with market leading brands
  • Proficient leveraging analytics to inform business strategy and tactics. 
  • Ability to build and leverage cross-functional relationships internally/externally to support customer’s go-to-market strategy
  • Possess working knowledge of distribution logistics to end-users, programming, and promotional tools to drive revenue growth
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate and formally present across all levels of management and customers.
  • Proven ability to drive results via creative opportunity identification and execution.
  • Demonstrated track record of achievements.
  • High sense of urgency and personal accountability

  • This role must be located within the NE United States ((NY, NJ, ME, NH,  VT,  MA, CT, MD, DE and Eastern PA)
  • Up to 65% travel
  • This position is not eligible for relocation
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

The Company's Total Rewards package is at or above industry levels. The expected base salary range for this position is between 133,808.00 USD - 175,624.00 USD. Job related skills, experience, education, and location will be considered in setting actual starting base salary. In addition to your base salary and depending on job level, eligibility, and performance, a total package may include profit sharing, a short-term incentive and/or long-term incentives.
