Acrisure is one of the largest surety bond agencies in the U.S. We work with businesses to develop the best and most creative solutions for our clients' surety bond needs.

Acrisure provides bonds to four basic business segments: Traditional: general contractors and corresponding sub-trades, heavy-highway, utility, etc. Specialty: environmental remediation contractors, waste companies, mining operations, and oil and gas industry. Development: guarantees which include subdivision bonds, similar completion guarantees, and a multitude of unique requirements facing this industry. License, Permit & Miscellaneous: small compliance bonds required by state and local regulations.

We are currently looking to add to our team a Surety Bond Associate. This position will assist customers in identifying and providing for their bond needs. This position works directly with the client, Producers, and Surety Company representatives in handling the execution and billing of all types of surety bonds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operations administration

  • Maintain and update paper and electronic client financial and bond files

  • Receive and dispatch correspondence promptly

  • Act as liaison with surety companies and maintain surety relationships

  • Act as liaison with clients and client staff

  • Assist Producers

  • Assist other team members

General Administration

  • Preparing routine/follow-up correspondence – paper and electronic

  • Copying

  • Scanning

  • Filing

  • Drafting and/or sending electronic and/or paper correspondence

  • Preparing overnight packages and receipts

  • Telephone answering and responding to voice messages

  • Assisting in mailings

  • Other administrative support, as directed

Education and/or Experience:

  • Prior surety bond experience is highly desirable

  • At least three-years of office-based customer service (other than food or retail)

  • Prior bookkeeping and/or accounting experience (desirable)

  • Prior customer service in banking or insurance (desirable)

  • Prior paralegal experience is desirable

  • High school graduate required; college experience preferred

  • Prior experience in a professional office setting (minimum of 3 years)

Technology Skills:

  • Applied EPIC or similar agency management software experience is highly desirable, but not required

  • SurePath/Tinubu or similar surety bonding software experience, preferred but not required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, including the ability actively listen, and problem solve with minimal assistance
