Job Summary:

Performs duties in computerized order entry, distribution of supplies, equipment, and maintains good inventory management processes; meets supply needs with prompt delivery and assures the accuracy of issues. Additionally ensures accuracy of the inventory within the Materials Management storeroom and in unit supply rooms (PAR locations), prepares, and assists in cycle count verifications and annual inventory.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Responsible for the proper storage of supplies for stock. Adheres to any special handling instructions. Ensures locations and quantity on hand are correct. Keeps work area clean and orderly. Executes the distribution and retrieval of medical supplies and equipment to the Health System and ensures proper handling and cleaning of carts and equipment items. Provides customer service support to the department by assisting customers, answering phones and processing requests. Monitors the inventory, replenishes and distributes code/crash and isolation carts. Inventories and routinely tracks equipment, documenting in the appropriate unit logbooks. Demonstrates dignity and respect for patient and family for patient and family knowledge, values, beliefs, and cultural background in the planning and delivery of care. May assists with the transport of specimens and other items as needed Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma General or GED General
