This is a fulltime, remote role for candidates based anywhere in the UK. The successful candidate would ideally be based in South East England.

Our team supports the European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian (iEMEA) territories for Neogen Corporation, a top performing NASDAQ listed business employing over 2,000 people worldwide.

This role sits within our UK and Ireland Sales team and supports the European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian (iEMEA) territories for Neogen, a top performing NASDAQ listed business employing around 1,800 people worldwide. Neogen specialises in solutions for animal and food safety offering a diverse range of products and services for the agriculture, animal protein, food and beverage industries.

This role will be responsible for maximising sales of Food Safety products within the assigned territory based upon a combination of selling skills and use of supporting resources.

The work itself is vital and brings with it the opportunity to succeed and to progress with a great organisation which leads the market in its field.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Taking responsibility for management and business growth throughout the assigned territory for all Neogen food Safety products.
  • Developing and generating sales to meet or exceed budget sales revenues for products. Helping devise and implement a business plan for this territory based upon business requirements for that territory.
  • Supporting, driving and generating new business with existing direct accounts, looking for opportunities to cross sell and grow business.
  • Receiving and responding rapidly to customer enquiries, using all resources available.
  • Have an excellent understanding of the products and services supplied and the national requirements. Have the ability to run and demonstrate all test kits in front of potential customers.
  • Be responsible for the first level of customer support regarding technical issues, complaints, and product applications.
  • Extensively using Salesforce providing updated and accurate information.
  • Assisting with general financial management of the territory, including setting budgets, obtaining forecasts, preparing reports as required.

About you:

  • You’ll have previous sales experience in technical sales or food related sales.
  • You’ll have excellent communication (Verbal & Written).
  • You’ll be highly motivated, driven with excellent organisational skills and be able to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative.
  • Having a life science, food related or other technical degree is desirable but not essential.
