Director Pharmacy Compounding Services


 

What you will be doing:

The Director position will provide leadership and oversight for various Premier Pharmacy Compounding Services for Premier members, suppliers, and its customers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • Stability study program

  • Compounding training & education program

  • Drug development program

  • Insourcing and supplier augmentation analyses

  • 503A/503B outsourcing facility onsite evaluations

The role will serve as a key subject matter expert for compounding and current good manufacturing practices.

Responsibility #1 – 20%

  • Conduct onsite evaluations of 503B outsourcing facilities, pharmaceutical testing labs, and other suppliers

  • Develop evaluation summary documents based on audit findings

  • Maintain evaluation documentation on a quarterly basis

Responsibility #2 – 20%

  • Develop and maintain stability study program

  • Develop and maintain operational toolkits for each stability study

  • Engage with members and suppliers on drug development needs

Responsibility #3 – 20%

  • Develop compounding training and educational resources for customers

  • Provide subject matter expertise on pharmaceutical compounding and current good manufacturing practices to Premier staff and its members

  • Stay current with compounding standards, regulations, guidance, and other pertinent documents

  • Present and publish on compounding related topics

Responsibility #4 – 20%

  • Develop methodology and strategy for pharmacy compounding augmentation analyses

  • Provide pharmacy compounding augmentation analyses for customers

  • Provide augmentation support services to suppliers

Responsibility #5 – 20%

  • Oversee and maintain finances and tracking of program performance of services in SalesForce and Workday

  • Provide strategic initiatives and develop new sources of revenue and establish new lines of business

  • Reviews fee and volume reports for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness and assists with pharmacy audits as needed

Work Experience:

Years of Applicable Experience - 7 or more years

Education:

Bachelors (Required)


 

Skills:

  • Healthcare management

  • Public speaking

  • Business analytics

Experience:

  • Pharmacy compounding (sterile, nonsterile, hazardous drugs

  • Evaluating 503B outsourcing facilities

  • Hospital and health-systems

Education:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

  • Master’s degree

Travel Requirements: Travel 1-20% within the US


 

Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.


 

Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $125,000 - $231,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
