What is the Opportunity?As Senior Manager, Operational Resilience, you will develop a strategy and implementation plan for RBC Insurance to meet the requirements in the Enterprise Standard for the Operational Resilience program within the Operational Risk platform that includes Information Technology (including Cyber), Third Party and Business Continuity Management standards and will play an integral role interacting with senior management providing risk management expertise that supports the achievement of strategic objectives.

What you’ll do

• Drive the end-to-end Operational Resilience program for Insurance, including methodology development, critical service identification, impact tolerance setting, scenario-based testing design, third-party risk management, and compliance with Enterprise Standards (including 2 LOD).
• Collaborate with Business, Technology, and Enterprise partners to implement strategies, maintain a roadmap with milestones and deliverables, and ensure seamless integration of third-party risk, operational risk, and business continuity management.

• Drive Operational Resilience governance, change management, and process enhancement by maintaining effective communication with project teams, stakeholders, and senior management, delivering high-quality reports to governance bodies, and developing/facilitating training.
• Deploy change management strategies to ensure urgent and successful project delivery, escalate risks/issues to leadership, and provide regular and ad hoc project reporting. Support process improvements to strengthen Operational Resilience, including Risk and Control Inventory, GRC design, RCSAs, NIRAs, Scenario Analysis, and KRIs.

What do you need to succeed? 

Must-have  

• 10+ years in financial services organizations
• Risk management experience in at least one of: operational risk, third party risk, business continuity management, information technology risk
• Experience leading the development of a strategy/program
• Positive attitude and proven track record in learning new skills and technologies with the ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment  
• Strong communication, critical thinking, negotiation, relationship management and project management skills
• Proven leadership experience at a senior management level, with a proven track record of building strong relationships across business functions

• Strong knowledge of insurance business
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities
• Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills at senior levels
• Leadership experience in managing teams

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$90,000.00 - $140,000.00
