summary:: About the Role We are looking for a Data Engineer – Data Modeler with strong expertise in dimensional modeling to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale data models that support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives. The candidate will work closely with data architects, BI developers, and data analysts to create well-structured, efficient, and scalable data models for data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based data platforms. Roles Responsibilities:: Data Modeling & Architecture Design and implement dimensional models (star schema, snowflake schema) to support business analytics and reporting needs. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into logical and physical data models. Create fact and dimension tables, hierarchies, and relationships for data warehouses and analytics platforms. Optimize data models for query performance, scalability, and maintainability. Data Engineering & ETL Work with ETL/ELT developers to implement data pipelines that populate dimensional models. Ensure data consistency, integrity, and quality throughout the ETL process. Support migration and integration of data models from on-premise to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Collaboration & Documentation Maintain comprehensive data modeling documentation including entity-relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, and metadata. Partner with BI developers and data analysts to enable accurate reporting and analytics. Conduct peer reviews of data models to enforce best practices and standards. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 3–7 years of experience in data engineering, data modeling, or data warehousing. Strong expertise in dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas). Hands-on experience with SQL for data modeling, querying, and optimization. Experience designing fact and dimension tables, slowly changing dimensions (SCD), and hierarchical structures. Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and pipeline development. Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Snowflake) is a plus. Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality best practices. Professional & Technical Skills:- Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. Understanding of big data frameworks (Spark, Databricks, Hadoop). Experience with automation, CI/CD, or orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Azure Data Factory). Familiarity with Python or PySpark for data transformation. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work in cross-functional, agile teams. Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality and consistency. Additional Information:- The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Large Language Models. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
