Inkjet Ink Manufacturing Engineer

Description -

As an Inkjet Ink Manufacturing Engineer in our Singapore Tuas Ink Plant, you will:

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge on ink products, ink formulations, ink manufacturing processes and equipment to create world class inkjet inks.
  • Establish installation and equipment validation plans to meet new ink manufacturing processes which may include mixing tanks, milling equipment, ink transport systems, filtration, ion exchange treatment, ink filling, packaging and ink plant instrumentation.
  • Work closely with other team members (ink chemist, process and product engineers) on ink product qualifications and approvals as pre-requisite for Manufacturing Release.
  • Lead the maintenance team to develop effective equipment maintenance programs, characterization studies, design changes and calibration strategies to meet ISO9000 requirements.
  • Collaborate with our factory automation team on the installation of sensing instruments for automation controls and data analytics, as well as maintenance programs.
  • Curate and control process and equipment documentation, specifications and improvement plans.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • Typically, a Bachelors’ degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.  Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of related experience in a high technology manufacturing or R&D environment with direct responsibility on manufacturing equipment is preferred.
  • Applied knowledge in equipment design, operating principles, materials of construction, installation, diagnostics, failure modes and preventive maintenance is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in GMP implementation is an advantage.
  • Willing to travel on business need.
