Position Overview

StepStone is looking for a detailed-orientated individual who will work for a team that supports the business development efforts of the private debt business of the firm. This team member will interact and collaborate with our clients and very closely with senior professionals across various teams including business development, research and investment across asset classes, legal and compliance, monitoring and reporting, among others, to meet our client’s requirements about the firm’s service offerings and investment vehicles.

The successful candidate should possess a solid understanding of investments, ideally with a focus on private debt, as well as strong project management and communication skills.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Work alongside with business development and investment team to drive the growth of private debt evergreen funds
• Proactively address and support any client-related inquiries
• Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to coordinate/ handle distribution agreements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to onboarding new distribution channels/ platforms, marketing approaches and other initiatives
• Additional efforts may include creating and writing original content and analysis for new business activities (e.g., fact cards, presentations, etc.)
• Provide input on developing new and enhancing existing presentation content for marketing materials

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in finance, business or marketing preferred
• Candidates with prior experience in private banking within the wealth management sector are strongly preferred
• Proficiency in both German and English (verbal and written) preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of related financial services experience required (private debt, or
  investment management a plus)
• Highly motivated self-starter, with demonstrated history of taking initiative, being adaptive in a fast-changing environment, and working independently
• Strong ability to multi-task and manage time in a detail-oriented environment
• Strong cross-functional analytical skills both quantitative and qualitative. Ability to capture and formulate complex issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven experience working with complex excel files and PowerPoint presentations
• Follow up skills and acute attention to accuracy and detail are essential
• Professional designation such as CFA or CAIA is a plus
