Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary contact point and be accountable for ensuring the insurance applications are processed in a timely and effective manner during the underwriting stage. Provide ongoing status update, coordinate and follow up medical and other requirements as well as problem resolution and support for closing a deal within agreed service level.

  • Partner with Business Development Manager to provide best-in-class client experience and guiding them through the underwriting process. Collect sufficient information and documentation from clients to process the applications. Review, communicate progress and advise follow up actions with both internal (e.g. Underwriting/Business Development/Operations/Client Service/Risk and Compliance teams) and external stakeholders (e.g. bank frontline sales) and provide solutions to close the deal.

  • Handle enquiries from the bank frontline sales as well as internal Business Development Managers to expedite the underwriting process; negotiate with Underwriting team on requests.

  • Conduct regular review and monitoring on the service/operating process and any subsequent changes on regulatory requirements.

  • Compile regular management reports & identify and streamline processes.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to the team member.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree holder, preferably in any business related disciplines

  • At least 8 years’ working experience with minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in case management, candidates with bancassurance experience are preferred

  • Qualification in IIQE Paper 1, 3 and 5

  • In-depth knowledge of bancassurance operations, underwriting, sales practice and insurance products with good business sense

  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving and collaboration skills

  • Highly independent & able to work under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese

  • Proficient in MS Office applications
