Job Description

DPR Construction is seeking a Healthcare Core Market Leader with at least 15 years of commercial healthcare construction experience. This individual will oversee the healthcare core market business development and assure consistency of delivery of preconstruction and construction. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

  • Organize and coordinate industry events, conferences and related meetings.
  • Responsible for capturing and sharing industry information (metrics, lessons learned, big wins) internally (by facilitating DPR conference calls), and helping set sales goals, customer targets and other business planning objectives in the core market.
  • Serve as project executive for preconstruction and construction on certain projects based on relationships and overall staffing requirements of the region.
  • Assist local sales efforts, including helping to develop regional core market sales plans, and identify major customers and projects nationwide to pursue in their core markets.
  • Help identify and recruit talent into our core markets to support the region.
  • Develop, nurture and promote national relationships.

Qualifications

We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will possess:

  • Business development and/or project management experience in the core market.
  • At least 15 years’ experience in construction with extensive core market background. Experience across a variety of project types – hospitals, ASCs, MOBs and occupied facilities – preferred.
  • Deep industry knowledge and technical construction experience.
  • Positive reputation in the industry with a network of relationships with owners, design community and subcontractors.
  • Proven experience as a leader who can motivate others and able to influence multiple regions to support the goals of the core market.
  • Preference of design-build experience, DBIA certification (or interest in pursuing) in regional and national goals in the core market.
  • Business strategist – be a good strategic thinker and able to collaborate and take guidance from business development managers.
  • Enthusiastic, high energy personality, “networker”, and good at listening to other industry experts.
  • Adept at maintaining strong relationships.
  • Entrepreneurial and able to develop and evaluate new business opportunities.
  • Recommended attendance at 2 or more industry events/year, 2 DPR core market meetings/year, and various trips as needed for sales efforts, customer visits and discussions with regions on industry practices.
  • Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Effective participation in a team environment.
  • Self- starter who has an entrepreneurial spirit and can motivate others.

Anticipated starting pay range:

$220,000.00- $285,000.00
