Overview of Sales

These teams ensure that we achieve excellence throughout our sales operations in the UK and deliver on our customer promises. Our teams of experts continually monitor activity and manage our sales and service delivery, to ensure that we are maximising our performance. We have over 150 dealers across the UK and work hand in hand with them to deliver success – through supporting new product tours, VIP promotional activities, and our dealer excellence programme – we create and sustain the Nissan marketplace of the future.

Overall Purpose of Role

Develop and implement a profitable and balanced growth strategy for Nissan in the UK Fleet market. Planning and steering the utilisation of fleet financial resources to optimize Fleet commercial performance in the short, medium, and long term. Providing seamless direction to Fleet managed service partners to support operational efficiencies, better systems integration and improve customer journey in dealing with Nissan Fleet.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Be the main custodian of the Fleet Growth Strategy, responsible for programme managing initiatives to drive forward fleet sales and differentiation.
  • Responsible for steering the strategic planning of FMI budget to maximise sales and penetration in specific sub-channels to drive short and long-term strategic aims.
  • Responsibility for Nissan Fleet CRM (customer relationship management) and all below the line marketing initiatives for Fleet, collaborating with Nissan Motor GB (ltd) marketing colleagues and agencies.
  • Responsible for building networks and a collaborative framework to maximise synergy between fleet and Nissan Motor GB (ltd) departments to deliver common goals.
  • Responsible for driving forward an agenda of improving Nissan’s standing in the Fleet market by ensuring that relationships with external partners (franchised dealers, funders, intermediaries, end-users) are nurtured to maximise opportunities for collaboration.
  • Manage fixed marketing (non-media) budgets within business plan parameters (including any reforecast).
  • Performance management of external managed service partners (Fleet Service Centre, events, demos)
  • Stewardship of the Fleet VME budget and a performance reporting framework to maximise the utilisation of the budget to deliver commercial results, and the link between planning the usage of the budget and influencing the agenda of the field team.
  • Solution deployment to ensure performance concerns (where identified) are addressed in order to deliver the desired commercial results.
  • Supporting the Fleet Finance team to ensure that incentive payments to customers are processed with the highest degree of accuracy and Audit Compliance. Supporting the Fleet Incentives team to ensure Dealer appeals are adequately investigated and supporting evidence meets audit requirements. Supporting the Fleet Director in data analysis and preparation of internal & external presentations regarding sales performance dashboards

Skills and Experience

  • Fleet Sales, Marketing Communications, Category Management & Campaign planning
  • Understanding of fleet industry dynamics (specifically broker and customer) the relationship between manufacturer, dealer, funders
  • Ability to influence cross functional teams and leading project delivery with external stakeholders
  • Strategic development skills and strong commercial acumen. Consistent and proactive drive for results, solutions focused.
  • Preferably educated to degree level
  • Highly Computer literate and understanding of information systems and database composition. Competent with Word, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Confident verbal and written communicator at all levels, presentation preparation & delivery experience
  • Sales disciplines – Business to business sales and /or Business to customer
  • Cost centre management experience
  • Full drivers license
  • Hybrid working 3 days in the office (compulsory) 2 days work from home.
