Position Summary

At F5, we're a big tech company with a small-company vibe.  The F5 Enterprise Risk Management team is looking for a Risk Reporting and Governance Program Manager to join our growing team.  The Risk Reporting and Governance Program Manager will be focused on quarterly enterprise-level risk reporting, supporting governance and escalation processes that align with the approved ERM frameworks and reporting protocols.

On this team, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your strong leadership, communication and project management skills, and your ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to execute on a wide variety of initiatives. Demonstrable skills in risk and process taxonomies, risk assessment processes, project and stakeholder management are mandatory.  This role has a heavy project management emphasis to keep quarterly reporting of risk metric information on track.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the execution of quarterly and ad-hoc enterprise risk metric gathering for reports to the Executive Team and Risk Committee of the Board.
  • Builds and maintains risk dashboards, KRIs, and incident escalation protocols for cross-functional visibility.
  • Align reporting practices with enterprise-level rating criteria, ensuring consistency for comparisons of likelihood, impact, and treatment strategies.
  • Leads enterprise-wide risk assessments and facilitates workshops to identify high-priority threats.
  • Drive the escalation process for material and emerging risks from management to the ERM team, executives, and the board.
  • Drives process improvements in risk evaluation and reporting through automation or workflow redesign
  • Support the development, update, and maintenance of the ERM framework, risk categorization, and methodologies for assessing likelihood, impact, and treatment.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs on risk management principles, tools, and compliance with the ERM framework.
  • Acts as a liaison between the risk function and operational teams to embed a risk-based mindset
  • Review and refine risk domain definitions, categories, and assessment criteria in response to emerging trends or evolving business needs.
  • Management Responsibility: Employee management including but not limited to interviewing and hiring candidates for open positions, onboarding, establishing goals, assigning or delegating work, providing on-the-job training, giving guidance to staff, conducting performance evaluations, approving paid time-off (PTO), developing performance improvement plans, and taking disciplinary action.
  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating clear, concise, and impactful risk reports for senior leadership and board-level audiences.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze and evaluate risk data, including likelihood, impact, and treatment strategies, and align them with enterprise-level rating criteria.
  • Advanced knowledge of governance structures and processes, with the ability to monitor adherence and recommend enhancements.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with management, functional leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills, particularly in conveying complex risk insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Leadership and management skills, including interviewing, onboarding, coaching, performance evaluation, and employee development.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to drive timely submission of risk data and metrics.
  • Adaptability in handling ad-hoc tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to upholding the Business Code of Ethics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field;
  • At least 8-12 years of professional experience in enterprise risk management, governance, or related roles.
  • Proven experience in managing teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Certification in risk management and/or project management are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in preparing enterprise-level reports and engaging with senior leadership and Board members.
  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to risk management.

The annual base pay for this position is: $142,400.00 - $213,600.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
