The Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) is a dedicated team committed to delivering comprehensive support across the entire student life cycle—from admission and matriculation to graduation and beyond the classroom. SASD works collaboratively with schools, colleges, and autonomous institutes to ensure a seamless and enriching academic journey for all students.
This position sits with the Student Affairs Office (SAO), which is one of the functions within SASD. The SAO plays a key role in co-creating a meaningful and enriching student life experience through student-led activities, leadership development initiatives, residential life programmes, integration efforts, community engagement initiatives, arts and sports.
This successful candidate will support Transition & Integration initiatives for both local and international students to transit effectively to the new university environment to enable students to thrive in their first year and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of the Transition and Orientation Programme (TOP)
Support and drive all operational aspects of TOP, which includes coordinating activities, safety, training, logistical matters.
Provide seamless coordination with schools, residential halls and Big 4 NTU student organisations and relevant NTU offices to achieve successful programme outcomes.
Review and strengthen TOP framework and plans with the aim of delivering a robust first year transition experience for freshmen.
Support Integration initiatives to enhance support for international students
Support Integration initiatives among international students to promote various cultures to build a vibrant international community in NTU through programmes to deliver an international student experience and promote social mixing.
Collaborate with various internal stakeholders (Offices and Schools) to ensure the integration of international students.
Cross-functional student development initiatives
Lead or support assigned cross-functional student development initiatives or committees at the SAO, SASD, or University level when required.
Requirements:
Degree in any discipline with at least 6 years of relevant experience in student engagement/ student development functions.
Candidates with experience in the tertiary education sector will have an added advantage.
Experience in youth development and/or IHL orientation programmes and integration of international students.
Project management skills in coordinating large-scale projects.
Proven track record in stakeholder management.
