Job Description
The consultant is responsible for educating advisors and promoting Structured Products and Alternative Investments via inbound and outbound calls across assigned advisor channels. This role will assist advisors with product features and benefits, competitive analysis, and product positioning as sales strategies. In addition, the consultant will work closely with internal and external business product partners, advisors and field leaders to support client/advisor needs and business objectives. Partner with the applicable WMS teams to development, execution, and implementation of sales strategies.Responsibilities:
Proactively conducts outbound calls to advisors in assigned region- Ensure a high level of advisor satisfaction by responding to inbound calls and emails from advisors to provide technical expertise on sales strategies, product rules/regulations, and solutions to drive sales.- Maintain strong working relationships with product partners and other company stakeholders. - Accurately track all activity in Salesforce.com and track/submit all business expenses in Concur Expense Management system.
Provide support and participate in advisor/client presentations and field facing events as required.- In partnership with external consultants, travel within region as required to participate in one-on-one advisor sales calls, client events, and/or to deliver group presentations.- Partner with subject matter experts across the firm and outside of the firm to continually improve the quality of advice being given to advisors. This includes supporting development of new strategies and on-going maintenance of existing processes, tools, and services.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience in financial services industry, financial sales, or financial wholesaling
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Active Series 7
Active Series 63 & 65 or 66
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of advisory products and services
Financial industry experience, preferably in sales and/or wholesaling
Ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner, excellent telephone communication, and presentation skills
Proven ability to establish rapport and credibility quickly
Demonstrated sales and coaching experience
Solid presentation skills for use in one-on-one as well as infrequent large group settings
Ability to work in a sales-oriented team environment

Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $87,400 - $120,200 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
