About the Role

Papa is seeking a Vice President of Product to lead the strategy, development, and execution of our enterprise and marketplace product roadmap. Reporting directly to the President, this role will oversee Papa’s Product and Design teams, playing a pivotal role in shaping our offerings to meet market demands, address member needs, support our Pals, and drive overall business objectives. The VP of Product will collaborate closely with the leadership team to ensure product strategies align with broader company goals and drive business growth.

The ideal candidate has deep enterprise healthcare experience and is a strategic, execution-focused leader who is humble, hands-on, and willing to dive into the details. They excel in cross-functional collaboration, client engagement, and data-driven decision-making, with a proven track record of researching, defining, and executing impactful product strategies. They will ensure our solutions are user-centric, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define & Execute Product Strategy: Develop and drive Papa’s enterprise product roadmap, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer needs, and business objectives.
  • Enterprise Healthcare Expertise: Leverage deep industry knowledge and research to build products and offerings that meet the unique needs of healthcare payers and other key stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Oversee and mentor the Product and Design teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability while ensuring executional excellence.
  • Market & Customer Research: Lead customer discovery efforts, analyze industry trends, and synthesize insights to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
  • Marketplace Product Innovation: Develop and enhance product features that optimize Papa’s marketplace, ensuring an efficient and effective match between members and Pals. Build tools and capabilities that improve supply and demand dynamics, drive engagement, and scale marketplace operations.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations teams to bring products to market efficiently and effectively.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with enterprise clients and strategic partners to gather feedback, validate product-market fit, and drive adoption.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics, customer insights, and market research to inform prioritization and measure product success.
  • Research & Impact: Lead research initiatives in collaboration with clients, external actuarial partners, and advisors to quantify Papa’s impact. Analyze data to uncover insights across populations, inform product strategy, and serve as the internal and external expert on research and impact.  
  • Execution & Scaling: Ensure a seamless product development process, from concept through launch, while balancing strategic vision with executional detail.

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of experience with 5+ years in product leadership, with a proven track record with enterprise healthcare products. 
  • Experience developing and executing enterprise product roadmaps, particularly in healthcare.
  • Experience in a highly analytical field such as management consulting, investment banking, business operations, analytics before transitioning into product leadership.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including payers, providers, and regulatory considerations.
  • Proven ability to conduct market research, synthesize insights, and drive data-informed product decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience managing product and design teams.
  • Ability to engage with enterprise clients, gather insights, and translate their needs into scalable product solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
