Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, you as a Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for optimizing production processes, resources, and workflows to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance within the Matehuala facility.

You will focus on analyzing methods, material flows, tools, machinery, and equipment to eliminate non-value-added activities, reduce waste, and enhance operational performance. Additionally, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement changes that drive safety, productivity, and quality improvements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals, new product launches, and the ongoing enhancement of manufacturing systems.

About the Job:

  • Optimize existing and new manufacturing processes and work methods

  • Define appropriate tools, machinery, and equipment for efficient production

  • Identify critical process and product points; implement controls to prevent defects

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions

  • Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives

  • Evaluate process reliability and quality performance

  • Design, implement, and improve quality control systems

  • Develop and apply productivity measurement techniques

  • Support investment project evaluation and justification

  • Balance production lines and workloads to improve efficiency

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing concepts (Kaizen, waste reduction, process optimization)

  • Reduce rework and non-value-added activities

  • Update production standards, including cycle times and output rates

  • Support responses to internal and external quality issues (customer complaints)

  • Participate in new product introduction from development through production

  • Develop work standards, staffing projections, and production capacity plans

  • Create and execute action plans for successful product launches

  • Develop training plans to enhance team skills and capabilities

  • Maintain updated process documentation (layouts, flow diagrams, work instructions, visual aids, etc.)

  • Ensure effective implementation of 6S programs

  • Develop and maintain PFMEAs and verify Bills of Materials (BOM)

  • Initiate and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)

  • Coordinate equipment, product, and assembly line transfers across plants

  • Location: Matehuala, San Luis Potosí.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field.

  • Experience in manufacturing engineering or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Experience in methods engineering and process optimization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Results-driven mindset with accountability and sense of urgency.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaboration, and conflict management abilities.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and lead improvement initiatives.
